About Us
Digital Firewood was born out of the flames of passion for games and a desire to bring our creative visions to life. As former classmates, we stayed up for many nights working away at our craft.

Originally known as Ilyco during our college days, we honed our skills and experimented with various game concepts, genres, and ideas. With every project, we strived to go above and beyond and create quality experiences.

Fueled by our desire to create great games and a shared vision, we decided to take the leap and turn our passion into a business. Together, we formed Digital Firewood, a company committed to forging games that can inspire and touch players the same way they inspired us.
Meet the Team

Anthony De Fazio
CEO, Game & Level Designer, UI/UX Designer, Audio/Music Designer
Anthony is a game development generalist that was born with a controller in his hands. Growing up with Minecraft and Nintendo games made him passionate about games from a young age, but it wasn't until he played Undertale in 2015 that he developed a long-lasting appreciation for emotional, personal experiences only possible through the interactive medium. From then on it was his mission to create experiences that make people feel how Undertale made him feel. Nowadays, he spends his time playing many different kinds of games, but holds a special spot for JRPGs like Persona and Shin Megami Tensei. He strives to use gameplay-driven design interwoven with storytelling to deliver unforgettable experiences that are not possible anywhere else.

Benroy Chayson
Artist/Animator
Benroy has spent his entire childhood steeped in the heyday of Flash games, drawn in by the vivacious artstyle (and the entry cost of nothing) before ending up staying for the fun they brought. He has since been utterly absorbed into making hand-drawn animations, diving facefirst into Adobe Flash in his younger years, and now bringing the same enthusiasm to the drawing board of Digital Firewood’s games.

Ronan Daniel
Narrative Designer, Programmer, Artist
Ronan is a Narrative Designer who fell in love with stories from playing RPGs like Pokémon and Persona, watching videos of games they couldn't play, and an unwieldly, ongoing webtoon addiction. With their stories, they hope to make you cry!.. or smile!.. or ideally both! They also really love space, so don't be surprised if half their stories have cosmic themes.

Patrick Korie
Programmer
Patrick is a programmer who started in
Minecraft PS3 Edition making redstone contraptions and showing his family and friends the stuff he made. Later he decided to16 make minigames in Minecraft like spleef and TNT run, which turned into replicating other games like
Splatoon and Clash of Clans, which evolved into fully automated games like CoD Zombies. As he got better at using redstone, he created advanced systems like redcoders to make games like tic-tac-toe to play with his friends. While making things in Minecraft he also liked playing games like Battlefield 3/4, Black Ops 1/2, and Dungeon Defenders II which lead to his love of gaming.
A mix of his passion of playing games and with his passion for creating things lead to his pursuit to programming, starting with python and then learning more about game engines, leading to his love for game development.

Jacob Giannone

Jacob's been a massive video game fan for as long as he's known. Ever since the early days stompin' on Koopas, lead to a fascination with learning more about the medium as time went on. Either by having plain-old fun and being enthralled by a game, or having games help him form meaningful connections (with others and with series' as a whole), video games have meant a lot to him across his life. With a multitude of game series and genre knowledge under his belt, he aspires to create fun experiences that players enjoy their time with playing!

Producer, Project Manager
Sebastian has been a lifelong gamer who’s loved automation and management games since he was young, starting with Minecraft modpacks like SkyFactory and Stoneblock, where building efficient systems was half the fun. He also grew up in community-driven multiplayer spaces like Minecraft Factions, and later found his team first mindset really click through Overwatch and the guild/raiding culture of Final Fantasy XIV and Destiny 2. Today, he brings that same systems and collaboration mindset to his work as a producer and project manager at Digital Firewood, keeping scope, schedules, and teamwork running smoothly while helping turn ideas into polished, shippable games.
